We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager who is dedicated to collaboration, operational excellence, and delivering patient-centered care

Responsibilities:

They will demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and have the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. Skilled in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services for our patient population.  Assures quality of care is delivered for our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources.

They are the change agent for the assigned areas of responsibility and are responsible for implementing any changes that the unit is required to undergo. Actively participates in outstanding customer service, including service to patients, families, physicians, and other contacts, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s Degree, strongly preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Current, active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers 
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Professional certification from a nationally recognized organization

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing experience
  • Prior leadership or management experience
  • Additional experience as appropriate to the assigned unit(s)

Special Skills & Qualifications

  • Maintains and exceeds all specialty-specific educational and competency requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and organizational skills
