SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE 


Our Nurses play a pivotal role in our studio success and are a direct line of support to our customers. Our Nurses are resident experts in our IV program and are well versed in the benefits all our drips offer. Our Nurses provide a high level of care to each customer they see and ensure each visit exceeds the customers expectation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   
 
·       Administer IV therapy, IM injections - MUST have at least two years minimum of professional IV experience
·       Assess patient appropriateness for infusion therapy 
·       Obtain and document patient’s medical history at the start of care and ongoing, particularly as related to the diagnosis being treated with the prescribed infusion therapy
·       Communicate observations of patient response to therapy and overall physical assessment/condition with members of the care team in a timely manner, which may include the nursing supervisor, dispensing pharmacist, registered dietitian, and licensed prescriber, among others
·      Provide support to Wellness Associates with front desk operations and cleaning responsibilities during times when IV administration is not required.
·       Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of infusion therapies, utilizing Company policies, procedures and protocols in addition to all available training resources to ensure understanding of each therapy before initiating treatment
·       Comply with all State and Federal regulations and laws, including employee health and safety protections mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), patient privacy and data security required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as all home infusion standards of practice 
·       Complete all training required upon hire and annually per policy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification 
·       Serve as a professional representative of the Company when meeting with and/or providing education to external customers, payers and referral sources
 
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
·       Active Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California 
·       Some experience working as an RN in a clinical care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, emergency department, intensive care unit, post-anesthesia care unit, or similar setting) 
·       Proficient with electronic medical record documentation
·       CPR/BLS certification required
·      At least one year minimum of professional IV experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT: 


  • Requires a wide range of constant physical activities, including but not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • Frequent repetitive movements.
  • Requires close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Continuous exposure to moderate noise
  • Frequent walking and standing on hard surfaces
  • Frequent movement, lifting or carrying of weight up to 50 pounds
 
 NURSE SHIFTS: 
  • Sunday & Saturday - 9am-5pm
  • Monday, Thursday, & Friday - 11am-7pm
  • Each Nurse has approximately 2-3 shifts per week
