Are you the nurse who always has a student trailing behind you? The one who lights up when explaining a complex concept, and it finally "clicks" for a new nurse? The one who believes healthcare changes not just at the bedside, but in the classroom and clinical hall? We are looking for you.

You've mastered bedside nursing. Now come teach it!

Our communities are facing a critical nursing shortage, and the solution starts in the classroom. We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator to join our team and answer this urgent call. This is more than a job-it's an opportunity to leverage your nursing knowledge and clinical expertise to inspire, mentor, and prepare future nurses for success.

Location: Mesa, AZ

Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm (No on-call, No weekends)

Life-work Balance at last!

What You'll Do

Teach Didactic: Bring theory to life. You'll lead engaging classroom discussions on med-surg, fundamentals, pharmacology, and more. We don't want monotone PowerPoints; we want your real-world stories and clinical wisdom.

Lead Clinicals: Take a small group of eager, hungry students to the hospital floor. Watch them fumble, then grow. Correct, then praise. You'll be the calm, competent voice they remember for their entire career.

Shape Culture: You'll instill not just clinical skills, but compassion, critical thinking, and professionalism. Our students don't just pass the NCLEX-they become the kind of nurses you'd want taking care of your own family.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree, preferably in a Master's in another field, acceptable if a baccalaureate degree is in nursing.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program recognized by the S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Three (3) years of occupational experience as a Nurse providing direct patient care
  • One (1) year full-time teaching experience or administering a nursing education program leading to licensure
  • Current Arizona Nursing license (or multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona) in good standing, and any other certification or credential as required by local, state, or federal laws to work in the field.
  • Verbal and written communications
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and computers

About the Company

P

Pima Medical Institute

Pima Medical Institute started changing lives in 1972 when Richard Luebke Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, brought to life their dream of providing quality medical career education. They opened the first campus in Tucson, Arizona, preparing students to become nursing assistants. Eventually Richard Luebke Jr. and Mark Luebke took the helm, introducing more programs and opening additional campus locations to meet the country’s growing demand for quality healthcare professionals.

In 2015, Fred Freedman became Pima Medical’s President and Chief Executive Officer after serving the college as Chief Operating Officer. He has been with Pima Medical since June of 2000. He’s leading Pima Medical into the future, with growth, innovation and a keen eye on what healthcare providers need in great employees. We encourage you to become part of the Pima Medical Institute family, where you can help make a difference in the lives of our students today and educate future professionals.

As our community of students continues to grow, so does our community of talented staff. We truly believe that our people are the heart of our organization, and as we grow, we continue to hold ourselves accountable to the values that support those people.
