The Medical-Surgical Educator position is highly autonomous, requiring self-motivation in the development, implementation, and maintenance of education programs. The hours are flexible and structured to meet employee, patient and physician needs. The position requires interest in and the ability to teach. Work involves coordination of education activities for several departments and assuring that appropriate records are maintained documenting required annual education and competency in compliance with regulatory agency requirements.

Qualifications
Effective presentation skills.
Obtain instructor status for basic BLS and ACLS within 18 months of employment.
Knowledgeable regarding technology and computer applications for presentations.
Ability to organize and prioritize work requirements.
