We are seeking a full time, motivated and talented Registered Nurse Clinician to join our busy, fast paced specialty office at Twin Cities Spine Center (TC Spine). Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with patients, family or other health care members to appropriately identify concerns and questions via phone triage
  • Educates all upcoming surgical patients regarding surgery preparation steps and expectations
  • Assists physician in clinic and provides care as needed to patients
  • Supports patients during post-operative recovery period through education
  • Schedules patients into clinic schedules due to necessity of concern or need
  • Serves as a patient advocate for all patients by ensuring the provider is informed of patient's status and history
  • Appropriately assesses patient's health, ranging from focused to comprehensive
  • Facilitates collaborative discussions and review case findings of non-surgical patients with the provider as needed
  • Orders pertinent diagnostic tests, procedures and conservative therapies as directed by the provider
  • Enters pre-operative orders for surgical procedures and x-ray orders into computer system
  • Prescribes necessary medications as directed by provider
  • Completes patient forms such as disability, FMLA, and other forms as needed by patient
  • Reviews and/or gathers correspondence and patient reports as needed
  • Obtains prior authorization for medications as required
  • Works closely with Prior Authorization on appeals for surgical cases

Qualifications:

  • Orthopedic nursing experience preferred
  • Active RN License
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Location: Minneapolis with rotation to remote clinics as business dictates
