Job Summary
The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, School of Leadership and Advanced Nursing Practice. Qualified applicants with teaching/practice experience as a board-certified Nurse Anesthetist are welcome to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and teach graduate courses.
- Contribute broadly to our thriving graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.
- Mentor/advise nurse anesthesia students.
- Supervise nurse anesthesia students in the simulation setting.
- Develop and maintain syllabi, lesson plans, and more for each course taught.
- Maintain the standards of The University of Southern Mississippi.
- Possess a passion to educate anesthesia students
- Assist the program clinical coordinator with student scheduling, onboarding, tracking, paperwork, applications, and communications.
- Inventory simulation supply ordering, stocking, and inventory.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
