Job Summary

The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, School of Leadership and Advanced Nursing Practice. Qualified applicants with teaching/practice experience as a board-certified Nurse Anesthetist are welcome to apply.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach graduate courses.
  • Contribute broadly to our thriving graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.
  • Mentor/advise nurse anesthesia students.
  • Supervise nurse anesthesia students in the simulation setting.
  • Develop and maintain syllabi, lesson plans, and more for each course taught.
  • Maintain the standards of The University of Southern Mississippi.
  • Possess a passion to educate anesthesia students
  • Assist the program clinical coordinator with student scheduling, onboarding, tracking, paperwork, applications, and communications.
  • Inventory simulation supply ordering, stocking, and inventory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
