About this Job
Lead worker over Certified Nursing Assistants to assure quality care and safety for our veterans, and assist and report to the Nursing Assistant Supervisor 2 when needed.
Our mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to serve the Veteran population of Louisiana through the provision of nursing assistant supervisor services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion.
Join the State of Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home, where youll step into a role as a Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1 that supervises and services excellence care for those who served, with genuine care that serves over 150 veterans.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in patient care; OR
Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or graduation from an Emergency Medical Technician Program plus two years of experience in patient care; OR
Completion of an accredited registered or practical nursing program plus one year of experience in patient care.
NOTE: Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.

Appointment Type: Probational
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Compensation: This position is eligible for Special Entrance Rate for Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1 - $1,191.80 BI-WEEKLY / $14.89 PER HOUR, shift differential, and Premium Pay of $5.00/HR for hours worked only. SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL pay is also available.
Work Schedule: 6 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.to 6:30 a.m. shifts to include every other weekend and some holidays.
