A Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity is available in Fort Pierce, FL at a 380-bed acute-care hospital that serves as a Level II Trauma Center, a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and home to the area's only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. The facility operates a CARF-accredited Physical Rehabilitation Center, verified by the American College of Surgeons, and provides a comprehensive range of services including an established nuclear medicine department, open-heart surgery, and both adult and pediatric emergency services.

The role. Working within the nuclear medicine and diagnostic imaging department, the technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that apply ionizing radiation for screening and diagnostic purposes, following ALARA standards throughout. Responsibilities include operating and regulating imaging equipment, as well as developing and organizing films to support accurate diagnostic workflows. The position demands careful attention to radiation safety protocols and precise documentation of imaging studies to support the clinical team's diagnostic decision-making.

What we're looking for.
  • Associate Degree
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician licensure
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) — required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time, 8-hour rotating shifts covering days, evenings, and rotating weekends (shift start times: 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 3:00 PM).

Compensation. $30.34 - $42.47/hr
