Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine P.E.T. Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures. Key responsibilities include:
• Performing at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis. • Performing tests in-patients and out-patients. • Utilizing a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment. • Administering pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice. • Demonstrating industry in radiation safety. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• Graduate of a CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred. • MTR State of Texas. • ARRT NM or NMTCB certification. • NMTCB PET certification preferred. • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider. • American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
