Basic Job Functions:

The basic functions of a Maintenance Utility Technician are as follows: (1) Utilization of knowledge and skills to support a plant-wide Building & Structural maintenance team, including building and component inspections, preventive maintenance, door repair, HVAC, fabrication, and construction projects. (2) Participation in a training and development action plan is required for continuous improvement and support of the maintenance and production teams. (3) Develop and implement projects for continuous improvement. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 2 year industrial maintenance degree, 4 year engineering degree or 1-2 years Maintenance Experience
2. Ability to successfully complete the General Maintenance Assessment

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Welding certification and fabrication experience
2. Understanding the importance of quality affected by plant maintenance activities
