This position is responsible for the interdepartmental movement, tracking, planning and coordination of work in progress throughout the production operation.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Tracking the progress of critical builds throughout various stages of production
  • Recognize and mitigate potential risks to critical builds
  • Exercising sound judgment in regard to navigating process obstacles/challenges
  • Coordinating, planning and communicating incoming/outgoing builds to stakeholders up, down and laterally
  • Forecasting build times in consideration of sections’ work load
  • Assisting Group Leaders and Supervisors with planning/coordinating work in progress to meet department goals
  • May be required to cross train in other departments.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
  • This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.            
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.            
     

Requirements: 

  • Ability to escalate challenges to respective stakeholders
  • Composed, tactful and professional approach/demeanor
  • Able to effectively communicate (written and spoken) at all levels of organization
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Comprehension of schematics/blue prints/bill of materials/route steps/drawing notes
  • Able to escalate challenges to respective stakeholders
  • Adaptive to a rapidly changing work environment with competing priorities, balanced with interpersonal tact and persistence
