POSITION SNAPSHOT: Our Client is seeking a highly skilled New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to lead the development and industrialization of additive manufacturing components from concept through production. This role sits at the intersection of manufacturing engineering, product design, simulation, and project execution, requiring a deep technical understanding of AM processes and downstream manufacturing workflows. The NPI Engineer is responsible for optimizing additive build strategies, including part orientation, support design, and build layouts, while applying Design for Manufacturing principles such as machining allowances, fixturing strategies, and distortion compensation to ensure dimensional accuracy. The role also supports surface treatment development, CNC integration, and production troubleshooting, ensuring finished components meet stringent GD&T and quality requirements. In addition, the engineer develops detailed technical documentation, interprets customer drawings, and provides hands-on support to manufacturing teams to drive robust, repeatable production outcomes.

Beyond technical execution, the NPI Engineer plays a key role in project and stakeholder management, serving as a central coordination point between internal teams, external clients, group companies, and supply chain partners. Responsibilities include managing supplier and contractor activities, contributing to NPI cost modeling, supporting proposal development, and communicating technical results and project status to stakeholders. The position requires strong capabilities in CAD/CAE tools, statistical data analysis, GD&T, and quality methodologies such as SPC and lean manufacturing, along with excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred experience includes advanced manufacturing or aerospace environments, deep familiarity with additive manufacturing and post-processing techniques, advanced metrology systems, and simulation tools. Overall, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented, cross-functional engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and is motivated to deliver innovative additive manufacturing solutions with high technical rigor and commercial impact.
