About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Health is excited to introduce a new and impactful position supporting the ongoing development of our Women's Services teams. This Nurse Professional Development (NPD) Generalist will play a key role in advancing clinical excellence by supporting education, onboarding, and professional growth for both current team members and new hires across NICU, Labor & Delivery, and Mother/Baby.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced clinician to help shape and elevate clinical education across multiple specialties while directly impacting patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Support the education and professional development of clinical staff within Women's Services (NICU, L&D, Mother/Baby)
Assist with orientation and onboarding of new hires
Provide ongoing clinical education, competency validation, and skills training
Collaborate with leadership to identify learning needs and development opportunities
Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff
Support initiatives that enhance clinical competency, patient safety, and team performance
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current RN license
Strong communication, collaboration, and teaching skills
Passion for education, mentorship, and professional development
