Okie Staffing is hiring an experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist for a manufacturing company in Chickasha, OK. This position requires hands-on experience setting up and operating Okuma CNC Lathes and/or Citizen Swiss Machines.
The ideal candidate will be confident with machine set-ups, reading blueprints, making offsets, checking parts, and producing quality precision parts with minimal supervision.
Location: Chickasha, OK
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Okuma CNC Lathes and Citizen Swiss Machines
- Perform machine adjustments, offsets, and tooling changes
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
- Inspect parts during production to ensure quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot set-up or production issues
- Maintain proper documentation and follow shop procedures
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with leads, supervisors, and quality team to meet production standards
Requirements
- Previous CNC set-up experience required
- Experience with Okuma Lathes strongly preferred
- Experience with Citizen Swiss Machines strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
- Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately
- Must be able to make machine offsets and basic adjustments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Must be dependable and able to work independently
- Stable work history preferred
- Preferred Experience
- CNC lathe set-up experience
- Swiss machine experience
- Okuma control experience
- Fanuc or similar control experience
- Experience machining tight-tolerance parts
- Oil & gas, aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing background
- Pay
- $25–$30 per hour depending on experience

Pay Rate: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience level.
