Forecast monthly and annual goals for sales, gross, and key expenses
Hire, train, motivate, and monitor all new-vehicle sales staff
Build and manage the annual operating budget for the new-car department
Stay compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations
Schedule, direct, and properly staff the sales floor
Assist sales consultants with goal setting and deal strategy
Maintain a daily activity log and accurate sales control systems
Ensure proper follow-up of all prospects and new-car buyers
Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings
Maintain a customer-focused, team-oriented sales environment
Provide ongoing product knowledge and training resources
Oversee customer satisfaction efforts and CSI improvements
Increase new-car gross and F&I penetration through coaching and process
Help close deals when necessary
Complete deal packets accurately and on time
Set standards for vehicle delivery and follow-up appointments
Monitor inventory mix, turnover, and recommend stocking levels
Assist used-car department with trade appraisals
Work with GSM and dealer on merchandising, advertising, and promotions
Attend management meetings and uphold professional standards
Proven track record as a New Car Sales Manager or F&I / GSM / Desk Manager
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
2 10+ years of related automotive leadership experience
Deep understanding of the automotive sales process and new-vehicle operations
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to train, motivate, and influence a high-producing sales team
Ability to interpret financials, forecasts, reports, and industry metrics
Must have a valid driver's license and state sales license
