Cafe Noir is looking for a warm, reliable, and community-minded Front of House Team Member to join our growing team. Located in a vibrant Oakland food hall, Cafe Noir serves comfort food with a gourmet twist and is committed to creating an experience where every customer feels welcomed, valued, and at home.

Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service
Learn the menu and confidently make recommendations
Build relationships with customers and help foster a welcoming community atmosphere
Operate the cashier station and process orders accurately
Manage the expo station, call out orders, and ensure food is delivered to customers efficiently
Prepare beverages and specialty drinks
Support with sauce preparation for the kitchen
Conduct inventory counts and help maintain organized supplies
Has at least 2 years of kitchen, restaurant, caf , or food service experience
Possesses basic kitchen prep skills
Is a self-starter who can work independently and take initiative
Speaks English fluently
Has a strong sense of personal style that reflects Oakland's creativity and culture
Is warm, personable, and enjoys connecting with people
Has excellent communication skills
Is dependable, responsible, and punctual
Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Approximately 5-hour shifts, 4 days per week
Opportunity for additional hours
Opportunities to work catering events and special off-site gigs
Tips are pooled and distributed weekly
Compensation is negotiable based on experience
