Department: Gator Success Institute Salary: $14.00 per hour
Description:
- Provides mentoring to students individually or in groups through presentations, workshops, outreach activities, and/or other programming focused on learning strategies and student support and services within the UHD Seminar
- Works closely with office staff and maintains confidentiality
- Performs administrative duties and supports Gator Success Institute events
- Co-facilitates student groups and/or workshops
- Leads and/or assists staff with student events, projects, and/or the use or development of new student success and student engagement materials
- Maintains up-to-date information on student services and resources
- Responds to student questions in a professional and timely manner
- Provides support to students in learning how to make good choices
- Assists with retention efforts of FTIC students and creates student caseload reports
- Assists students with registering for courses
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to multitask and interact professionally with staff, faculty, and students
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Well-organized, responsible, punctual, and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional attitude and appearance
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Must be a current UHD student with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University
