Non Alc Division Outside Sales Representative - South Region

Shore Point Distributing Company, one of New Jersey’s largest beverage wholesalers, is expanding our team and has an immediate opening for a motivated individual to join the company as a Non‑Alcoholic Outside Sales Representative - South Region.

Shore Point Distributing Company is a family‑owned beverage distributor located in Freehold, NJ, carrying an extensive portfolio of Beer, Wine, Spirits, and Non‑Alcoholic beverages throughout the state of New Jersey.

Position Overview

The Non‑Alcoholic Outside Sales Representative is responsible for implementing in‑person sales strategies and initiatives to drive growth within an assigned geographic territory. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing order replenishment with attention to quality assurance, proactively strengthening customer relationships, and executing sales plans.

The representative serves as the face of Shore Point Distributing, promoting product knowledge and driving sales performance through direct customer engagement. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction, brand reputation, and overall sales results. The position requires a proactive approach to problem‑solving, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Assigned Territory - South Region

The South Region includes the following New Jersey counties:

• Burlington
• Camden
• Gloucester
• Salem
• Cumberland
• Atlantic
• Cape May

Cross‑Region Support Disclaimer:

While this position is primarily assigned to the South Region, there may be occasional business needs that require assistance in the North Region. Representatives are expected to provide reasonable cross‑regional support when requested to ensure continuity of service, customer satisfaction, and overall business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent, solicit, and present the full product portfolio across all assigned accounts.
• Execute sales plans and programs effectively, including communicating pricing and promotions and coordinating merchandising in alignment with supplier and distributor standards.
• Utilize available tools, technology, and resources to drive sales growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers within each account.
• Manage daily account activity, including call‑ins, backorders, and online portal submissions, ensuring accurate inventory levels to minimize out‑of‑stock situations and quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with product code date standards and quality control per supplier agreements using inventory tracking, pickup & move procedures, and inventory rotation.
• Maintain a consistent sales route and visit schedule.
• Serve as a mentor to the relief sales representative.
• Prepare and submit sales reports, key metrics, and surveys in a timely manner; monitor receivables and manage account credits.
• Maintain assigned company property in good condition and in compliance with company standards.
• Maintain required company documentation, including permits, invoices, sampling logs, and sample stickers.
• Accurately maintain account profiles within company systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service and/or sales experience.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage administrative responsibilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Compensation & Incentives

Competitive weekly base salary with scheduled annual increases, a weekly Pay‑for‑Performance (PFP) bonus component, and additional earning opportunities through monthly objectives established by the company and suppliers. Additional compensation includes a monthly cell phone stipend and participation in the Vehicle Reimbursement Program for business use of a personal vehicle, per program policy.
