Education Qualifications
- Graduation from an advanced registered NP training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Certification by American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurse Credentialing Center within one year of completion of the degree or graduation from a PA training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current certification in ACLS and PALS, as specified per medical staff requirement
Experience
- Preferred minimum of three years experience as an nurse practitioner or physician assistant in an inpatient setting
- Prefer previous leadership/management experience
- Internal candidate must be in the top quartile for metrics and documentation; external candidate must meet these goals within 90 days; be an example for other APCs in accomplishing metrics
