Experience substitutions:

  • Accredited college training may substitute for the required work experience, except for the supervisory experience, with a maximum substitution of four (4) years. Fifteen (15) semester hours in Information Technology or a related area is required.
  • Accredited graduate training in the above area may substitute for the required work experience, except for the supervisory experience, with a maximum substitution of two (2) years.
  • Successful completion of an Information Technology Certification program may substitute for the required work experience with a maximum substitution of two (2) years. Proof of certification must accompany application.
  • Two years of work experience as an Application Systems Analysis/Programming-Supervisor may substitute for all of the required experience.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the Java software development project team as the SCRUM Master.

  • The Scrum Master will be responsible for making sure that the members of the team are well trained into following the values of the Scrum framework and Agile practices.
  • The Scrum master will ensure that the team members are aware of their respective roles and how they will fulfill them while using the framework.
  • The Scrum master will be responsible to facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
  • The Scrum master should be a friendly communicative person, because when team is moving fast in Agile, communication is the effective force which holds the team together.
  • The Scrum master will coach in Agile practices. The member will coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
  • The Scrum master will help team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them.
  • The Scrum master will shield the team from outside distractions and interferences.
  • The Scrum master will ensure the correct use of scrum process.
  • The Scrum master will track and remove impediments.
  • The Scrum master will report daily to the DOH project manager and keep them aware of project tasks
  • The Scrum master will develop and create associated SDLC document as per NJDOH/HIT standards
  • The Scrum master will ensure all project Epics, sprints and stories are documented in JIRA
  • The Scrum master will be responsible for project desirables and releases
  • The Scrum master will assist in defining and developing User requirements, Epics, Stories and Sprints
