Purpose
The City of Savannah Special Events, Film & Tourism Department seeks a Nightlife Program Manager to manage the resources required to balance the nighttime public safety, quality of life, and vibrancy. The purpose of this role is to manage and support the City of Savannah's nighttime economy by fostering safe, vibrant, and sustainable social activity while balancing community quality of life with economic growth. It will ensure effective policy development, compliance guidance, and coordination of city services to support events, businesses, and stakeholders. Additionally, the role will strengthen collaboration and transparency between government, residents, and operators through outreach, public engagement, and data-driven oversight.

Essential Job Functions
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Political Science, Urban Planning or closely related field plus four years of progressively responsible experience in public safety, government operations, urban planning, or project management or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license with an acceptable driving history.
Work Location: 1 Waring Drive / Barnard St Work Hours: varies, will; work nights
Additional Requirements
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and?verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
