Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Graduated from an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure in Texas
• Certifications Requirements: Valid CPR and ACLS certifications; SAMA certification preferred but can be provided by the facility
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a psychiatric RN, with experience in mental health or ER settings
• Other Requirements: Ability to work night shifts (12a-12p, 12a-9a rotation), excellent communication skills, resilient and adaptable mindset

Job Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care to patients in crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation in electronic health records.
• Execute patient assessments and monitor mental health status during shifts.
• Support outpatient clinics as needed until the unit opens, providing crisis intervention and support.
