A regulated manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead its overnight production team. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing daily operations, staffing, and output quality for a shift of roughly 15 to 18 employees. You'll be relied on to keep the floor running safely and efficiently while developing a strong, dependable team during nighttime hours.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities
- Oversee all production activity on the floor throughout the night shift
- Keep production targets, run rates, and schedules on track
- Uphold safety standards, work procedures, and company policy at all times
- Stay visible and engaged on the floor, monitoring attendance and performance
- Address team conflicts or performance concerns directly and follow through on resolutions
- Coordinate with maintenance to keep equipment running at full capacity
- Partner with quality teams when issues arise on the line
- Support onboarding and training so new hires are ready to perform independently
- Step up as the go-to problem solver for anything unexpected that comes up overnight
Production Supervisor Requirements:
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing setting
- Comfortable operating equipment hands-on when needed
- Experience leading teams with a range of skill levels and backgrounds
- Able to stay calm and effective under pressure while resolving conflict
