Position Overview

The Night Crew Manager is responsible for leading all overnight store operations, ensuring efficient stocking, merchandising, and store readiness for the next business day. This role focuses on productivity, accuracy, safety, and maintaining store standards while supervising the night crew team.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Execution

  • Direct and oversee all overnight stocking activities across departments
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked, faced, and presentation-ready by store opening
  • Execute load breakdown, distribution, and stocking in an organized, efficient manner
  • Maintain backroom organization, cleanliness, and inventory flow
  • Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO) and date code compliance

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and develop night crew associates
  • Delegate tasks and manage workload to meet productivity goals
  • Monitor performance and provide coaching and feedback
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and work procedures
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and efficiency

Inventory & Accuracy

  • Ensure accurate stocking and product placement
  • Identify and correct inventory discrepancies
  • Support inventory counts and scanning processes as needed
  • Minimize shrink through proper handling and loss prevention practices

Store Standards & Compliance

  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Adhere to company merchandising standards and planograms
  • Ensure equipment is used properly and safely

Safety & Security

  • Maintain a safe working environment for all associates
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines
  • Monitor overnight store security procedures and protocols

Qualifications

  • Previous retail or grocery experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
