What Youll Bring to the Table:
- Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience, with a strong background in Level III neonatal care
- Proven ability to manage ventilators and central lines, and to administer a variety of medications
- Expertise in placing IVs in neonates, drawing labs, and performing advanced procedures such as PICC, UAC, and UVC placements
- Skilled in assisting with complex procedures like chest tube insertion, intubation, and invasive line management
- Experience with ultrasound, echocardiograms, EEGs, and nitric oxide administration
- Compassionate patient-centered approach, with excellent customer service and communication skills
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience floating between units, including NOU
- Ability to educate and discharge families, support breastfeeding
- Flexibility to work self-scheduled hours, including every other weekend and major/minor holidays
- Comfort working with a multidisciplinary team of providers and staff
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid RN license with current BLS and NRP certifications
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Demonstrated excellence in neonatal intensive care for at least 3 years
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to attend deliveries and provide transitional care for newborns
- Ability to adapt to floating assignments to meet staffing needs
- Commitment to providing outstanding, compassionate neonatal care
