UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our employer-based Occupational Medicine program in Rockford, Illinois. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to focus on preventive care, workforce health, and injury management within a highly collaborative practice.

Position Highlights

• Employer-based Occupational Medicine practice • Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses • Perform DOT, pre-employment, return-to-work, and surveillance physicals • Conduct OSHA-mandated exams, respirator clearances, and drug/alcohol testing • Emphasis on injury prevention, early intervention, and safe return-to-work

Requirements

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a valid license to practice in Illinois. Experience in occupational medicine or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Strong clinical skills and a passion for preventive care and health promotion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently. A commitment to continuing education and professional development. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards is an asset. Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic health record systems. A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference in the community. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a dynamic and collaborative practice environment.
