Bon Secours - Virginia Orthopedic and Spine Specialists - is inviting NPs or PAs with strong Orthopedic training OR Ortho/Sports Medicine practice experience to Apply! Due to an internal transition we're hiring a NP or PA to join our Orthopedic Surgery team with practice locations in Suffolk and Norfolk VA.

  • Beautiful facility in Harbour View/Suffolk VA is the primary clinic location. Near the MMMBT, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth and easily accessible to other towns in Hampton Roads
  • Secondary location in Ghent/Norfolk - one clinic location per day
  • Experienced provider preferred - exceptional new grads also welcome to apply
  • WORK SCHEDULE:
    • Full Time Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00
    • Clinic based 4 days per week - Assist Surgeon in O.R. 1 day per week
    • Daily Rounding 1-2 patients before clinic hours begins in one or both Maryview Medical Center / Harbour View Medical Center IF Patients are admitted
    • NP/PA will also take Call and Round on patients on Sat and Sun IF patients are admitted
    • There is additional Call Pay for weekend Call Sat/Sun
    • Weekend Call 1:7 days and Weekday Call 0-1 days.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Combination of outpatient clinic care AND hospital O.R.
  • Collaborative team of surgeons and advanced practice providers
  • Opportunities for professional development and subspecialty exposure
  • APC will have their own schedule taking over current patient panel treating follow ups, post-ops, pre-ops, injections, diagnostic follow ups and new patients.
  • Equipment in clinc: X-Ray and Ultrasound
  • Support from CMA in clinic, as well as seasoned APC's and Physician
  • EPIC EMR
  • Very large orthopedic group caring for patients in the Hampton Roads communities for over 50 years.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Board certification as NP or PA
  • Active Virginia license (or eligible for licensure)
  • ACLS certification
  • Strong clinical, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • We ask our providers to be pleasant, and work along with staff, and manager to create a team based working environment to ensure good patient experience.
