What You’ll Do- Round with residents at the start of the day and help align on the plan for inpatient neurosurgery patients
- Review inpatient patients and determine which patients need to be seen
- Place orders, manage ongoing inpatient care tasks, and support continuity between care teams
- See patients as clinically indicated and support disposition planning
- Focus on patient care only (APPs do not go into the OR; resident program assists in the OR)
- Assist with inpatient workflow including orders and discharge-related tasks
- Prefer to assist with procedures such as drain removal (hemovac/jp drains), if applicable
What You Need
Required
- BC in Neurosurgery
- MA state license
- Minimum 1 year of neurosurgery experience
Preferred
- Ability to remove drains (hemovac / JP drains)
About the Assignment
Work in a hospital setting providing inpatient neurosurgery support for adult patients. You’ll join a team that begins each day with resident rounding to establish the plan, then carry patient care forward through ordering, follow-up, and discharge support—without APP participation in the OR.
