Neurology RN

This Neurology RN opportunity is based in Gainesville, FL at a 523-bed acute care hospital that is certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, accredited by the Joint Commission, and holds an Accredited Chest Pain Center designation from the American College of Cardiology. The nurse carries out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, ensures accurate and prompt documentation in the medical record, and administers prescribed medications while closely monitoring for therapeutic response and managing any unintended reactions.

The hospital is also designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

The role. Reporting within the neurology department, the RN conducts thorough patient assessments at admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and escalating changes in patient status in a timely manner. The nurse carries out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, ensures accurate and prompt documentation in the medical record, and administers prescribed medications while closely monitoring for therapeutic response and managing any unintended reactions. Patient and family education is a core part of this role — translating complex medical terminology into understandable language to ensure patients, families, and caregivers fully grasp the treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of RN experience required (any clinical setting considered, including LTAC, Home Health, etc.)
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation

Schedule. Position is available on days or nights, both with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $29.73 - $43.20/hr plus Shift Diff: Night Diff: 4.25. & Weekend diff: 3.00 Sign on: Case by Case (Not Guaranteed) Relocation: Case by Case
