Job Summary:
The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician direction in Angio Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR services. This includes angiography, vertebroplasty, spinal injections, and more. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority is given to activities that directly affect customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for IR and neurointerventional procedures.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment using established protocols.
- Ensure safety standards and radiation safety practices are met.
- Instruct students and residents, performing preceptor duties as needed.
- Perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Maintain supply inventory for all procedures.
- Utilize UHS information systems, including IR scheduling online.
- Review coding procedures for accurate billing.
- Learn new techniques and technology through education.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
- Comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Schedule Notes:
7:30a-6:00p, on call every other weekend. 4x10hr shifts. Required: ARRT(R), NYS License, BLS, IR and neurointerventional experience.
