Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our clinical neurodiagnostic team for a 13-week assignment. In this role, you will perform a variety of neurodiagnostic procedures, including Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Autonomic Testing, and Nerve Conduction Studies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring accurate data acquisition, and maintaining a safe and efficient testing environment.

This position requires excellent technical expertise, strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of neurodiagnostic procedures, including EEG, Evoked Potentials (EP), Autonomic Testing, and Nerve Conduction Studies.
  • Prepare patients for testing by providing clear instructions, ensuring comfort, and accurately applying electrodes using the International 10-20 and 10-10 electrode placement systems for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Monitor and maintain high-quality EEG recordings for adult, pediatric, and intraoperative patients.
  • Observe patients during testing and respond appropriately to seizure activity, including assisting with SPECT injections when required.
  • Troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment and resolve technical issues to ensure uninterrupted testing.
  • Accurately document test findings and provide comprehensive shift reports regarding patient status and completed procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient care.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to student neurodiagnostic technologists during inpatient clinical rotations.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality standards, and patient safety protocols.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Current EEG Registry (R. EEG T.) or CLTM Registry certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated competency in performing neurodiagnostic procedures, including EEG and Evoked Potentials testing.
  • Experience performing nerve conduction studies is required.
  • Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic clinical environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient care needs and clinical priorities.

Schedule

This is a 13-week assignment with the following schedule:

  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
  • Monday & Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
