Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neurological patients, utilizing your expertise in neuro-intensive protocols while collaborating closely with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your skill, professionalism, and compassion will be essential in supporting patients through complex neurological diagnoses and emergencies.
Required Skills:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in neuro-critical care
- ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications
- Epic EMR experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- NIHSS certification
- Experience in Neuro ICU or Neurocritical Care Units
- Past experience working in trauma or emergency settings
- Ability to adapt to floating between ICUs as needed
- First-time traveler experience encouraged
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience, with prior neuro-specific care highly regarded
Other Requirements:
- Shift: Night 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
- Floating to other ICUs when required, with appropriate unit training
- Willingness to report for emergency relief team assignments
- Certified in ACLS, BLS, and CPI; NIHSS preferred
