Information Technology (IT) implements, supports and maintains all systems at Hawaii Pacific Health facilities. The department encompasses the people, records and activities that process the data and information in the organization. The team provides support to users, and acts as the key liaison between the business community and vendors. It also codes, defines criteria, performs testing and debugging, and maintains programs in order to meet the informational needs of Hawaii Pacific Healths numerous facilities and administrative offices. Our Networks Systems team is responsible for the support and maintenance of the enterprise-wide network infrastructure.

If you have excellent organizational and technical skills, you can help to uphold our administrative and operational excellence in the area of Technical Systems. As the Network Systems Administrator, you will implement enterprise-wide systems; design, install, configure, maintain and perform system integration of primarily non-Windows mid-range servers (i.e.: Unix, AIX, VMS), firewalls, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), storage systems, storage area networks (SANs), network perimeter security, backup systems, cabling and power infrastructure and their associated components. You will also provide Tier 2 on-call support for these systems and research and recommend software and hardware products. We are looking for someone systematic and dedicated, with the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawaiis people.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Health Care or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Two (2) years working experience with Information Technology systems.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with system analysis, design, implementation and administration of UNIX, LINUX, firewalls, backup systems, storage arrays and/or networks (Local Area Networks/Wide Area Networks).
