Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team in a hybrid role, requiring three days onsite per week. You will be responsible for engineering the virtualization layer of the Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) stack, enabling standardized, production-grade hosting for various Internal Cloud workload types.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4–5 years of experience engineering or operating enterprise virtualization platforms in production environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Linux workloads and infrastructure troubleshooting in virtualized environments.
Familiarity with virtualization concepts and hyperconverged infrastructure fundamentals (compute/virtualization/storage interaction).
Experience supporting virtualization lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, stability/performance triage, and production change processes.
5–7 years supporting virtualization platforms at enterprise scale.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating virtualization platforms that support multiple workload domains (VMs, container platforms, grid/batch).
Client certification (e.g., VCP) or equivalent training/experience.
Experience working in regulated environments with formal operational readiness, change control, and release governance expectations.
Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Engineer and maintain the virtualization platform layer referenced in the Internal Cloud HCI stack.
Support lifecycle changes and upgrades for the virtualization layer.
Validate performance and resiliency behavior of the virtualization layer.
Partner with automation and platform teams to ensure virtualization capabilities are delivered consistently as part of the layered, automation-driven HCI build model.
