Our Client, a Communications company, is looking for a Network Planning Engineer II for their Remote location.
Responsibilities:
- The Planning Engineer II remote contractor will support Local/ILEC Access Planning by researching fiber capacity, developing OSP (outside plant) project plans and cost estimates, and preparing Engineering handoff packages for customer-driven demand.
- Work will be completed in accordance with established client planning standards and documented processes.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least two years of OSP network planning experience, with the ability to develop planning-level scopes, cost estimates, and Engineering handoff documentation.
- Required skills include working knowledge of OSP fiber facilities, including underground, aerial, buried facilities, utility vaults, conduit and general telecommunications engineering principles; experience using TIRKS, GSA, and/or NDS to analyze fiber routes, available capacity, and related network inventory; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work effectively in a team environment; and the ability to work independently with limited manager direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience includes familiarity with Google Earth, OSP Fiber to the Tower and Fiber to the Business.
