Job Description:
Daily duties include:
Activating ports
Cross-connects
Enabling port / configuring vlans on cisco switches
Updating maps and drawings to reflect network changes
Adding devices to dhcp
Installing network equipment
Racking / powering / downloading configurations
Adding devices to monitoring systems / cmdb / drawings
Troubleshooting network issues
Connectivity
WAN circuits
System failures
Replacing failed equipment
Upgrading code on network equipment
Test new code in lab
Document a change plan
Collaborating with peers to ensure projects are successful
Regular after hours work to perform changes / on-call activities
Looing someone hungry to learn and be willing to work; fresh out of college skill or trade school candidates who want to pursue career as Network Engineer will be considered
Requirements:
At least 1-3 yrs of experience
Must have the desire to pursue this as a career; this resource will be working with a resource who is retiring within the next two years, so this CW will work with that resource
Must have own means of transportation
Preferences :
Familiarity with typical network tools helpful
