Position Overview
Our client is seeking a NOC Technician to support the monitoring, maintenance, and reliability of enterprise network operations. This role is responsible for proactively identifying network issues, responding to incidents, troubleshooting connectivity problems, and ensuring the stability of critical network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys solving technical problems while delivering excellent customer support.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain enterprise network and telecommunications systems.
  • Respond to network alerts, incidents, and service disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot IP connectivity, hardware, and network performance issues.
  • Perform routine network health and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate with field technicians, engineers, vendors, and internal support teams.
  • Document incidents, outages, resolutions, and quality control activities.
  • Execute incident response for remote and cloud-based network environments.
  • Manage incidents, changes, and problems using ServiceNow.
  • Conduct remote network surveillance and respond to system events.
  • Prioritize and resolve incidents within established SLA requirements.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to subject matter experts when necessary.
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and service portal.
  • Communicate service-impacting events and status updates to stakeholders.
  • Track and manage vendor support tickets through resolution.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience troubleshooting IP connectivity and network hardware issues.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Working knowledge of VPN, BGP, MPLS, and SIP.
  • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, including Microsoft Visio documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to critical incidents.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or telecommunications environment.
  • CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCST, or Cisco CCNA certification.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience monitoring AWS cloud environments.
