About the Position

  • This is a non-state service ( X16) position. This position is a Supervisory/Managerial position, accountable for overall design and performance of networks at the high end of complexity and high risk or impact for assigned organizational areas; manages multiple teams of network administrators and operations staff; accountable for portfolio management of multiple applications; may be accountable for team leaders and lower level of Network Infrastructure Managers; interacts with stakeholders and high-level business users; manages vendor relations; be responsible for network and infrastructure support for agency; have knowledge of Cloud operations and AWS knowledge, ensuring completion of network and infrastructure projects; works with other OTSI staff on projects that cross over into other areas. Job Duties and Responsibilities include: In depth knowledge of statewide communications networks, design and operations; subject matter expert that provides technical guidance and leadership to other staff; versed in data systems operations, data system maintenance, interfacing with other systems, and designing complex systems to ensure the agency fulfills its function in a timely manner; monitors network performance and develops network criteria for analysis; manages network operations and resolves network operating problems; provides expertise to technical staff when configuring network equipment and solving networking problems; performs all similar or related job duties. Positions at this level are typically located in the central IT office. All applicants must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass an extensive background check.
