About the Position
Advanced professional Information Technology position accountable for the design, implementation, security, availability, and performance of complex enterprise network infrastructure supporting East Mississippi State Hospital and affiliated facilities. This position serves as a senior network specialist for multiple sites and is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and resilient connectivity for clinical, administrative, and statewide systems. The Network Infrastructure Specialist IV supports high-impact infrastructure, complex network operations, vendor coordination, cybersecurity readiness, and enterprise connectivity across EMSH locations while providing advanced technical support and project leadership as needed.
What youll need to be Successful
To be successful in this role, the Network Infrastructure Specialist IV must demonstrate advanced expertise in enterprise network design, security, and operations while effectively supporting high-risk, high-impact infrastructure. This position requires the ability to respond decisively to outages and cybersecurity incidents, proactively plan for system scalability and resiliency, and manage multiple priorities in a complex healthcare environment. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, technical problem-solving ability, and the ability to collaborate with leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders are essential to maintaining secure and reliable network services across East Mississippi State Hospital.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5-10+ years of IT experience with emphasis in network operations and administration. - Hiring Agency Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting complex, high-availability network environments is preferred. Experience with enterprise switching and routing, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, vendor coordination, and multi-site network support in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment is also preferred. Relevant certifications may be considered beneficial.
