Network Implementation Engineer - #26-17974

Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Network Implementation Engineer to join a highly technical IT Infrastructure team responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network environments.
• This role requires a senior-level engineer with extensive experience supporting complex LAN/WAN infrastructure, network security, routing and switching technologies, and large-scale enterprise networking projects.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, experience leading network implementation projects, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure a secure, reliable, and scalable network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and data center network infrastructure.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and related networking equipment.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity and performance issues.
• Perform network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements with minimal business disruption.
• Plan and execute network implementation projects from design through deployment.
• Evaluate existing network architecture and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Coordinate with hardware vendors, service providers, and internal teams during installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis for network outages and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, business continuity initiatives, and network redundancy improvements.
• Conduct capacity planning and analyze network utilization trends.

Experience:

• 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience supporting large-scale environments.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex LAN/WAN networks.
• Experience configuring enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Experience with VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and QoS.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure in production environments.
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of network security concepts and best practices.
• Experience working with structured change management processes.

Skillsets:

• Experience with Cisco, Client, Arista, or similar enterprise networking platforms.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience with wireless networking solutions

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
