The Network Engineer designs, implements, and manages wired, wireless, WAN, and cloud networks across enterprise campuses supporting hundreds of users.
Responsibilities include planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing local, data/voice, and wide area networks, along with associated hardware and software. Troubleshooting network performance issues, analyzing traffic, and providing capacity planning are key tasks.
They develop procedures aligned with industry best practices, oversee network security, traffic engineering, and upgrades such as firewalls and VPNs. The role involves managing service providers, ensuring SLA compliance, and creating network documentation.
Additional duties include supporting disaster recovery, second-level support, coordinating with vendors, and preparing maintenance plans. The candidate must organize multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
Experience with Next Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto), Cisco switches, VMware, routing protocols, subnetting, DHCP, Radius, and network monitoring tools is required. Certifications like PCNSE and CCNP are preferred. The position is primarily on-site in Pomona, CA.
