Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for exchanging routing information between autonomous systems. Interior Gateway Protocols (IGP) including Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS) or Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) or Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) based Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN). Network troubleshooting to resolve interruptions using established procedures and tools. Position reports to the Google Seattle, WA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy. **Responsibilities** + Conduct quantifiable analysis of network data and capacity forecast models to enhance scalability, efficiency, and user experience. + Evaluate network system inefficiencies and flaws to design and implement improved software, designs, and processes. + Develop software to improve the performance, security, transparency, and manageability of network systems. + Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex software, hardware, and other network system problems with minimal guidance. + Scale systems sustainably by creating tools and automation that improve system reliability and operational velocity. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support multiple-layer Distributed Cloud networks with the most stringent data residency, security, compliance, and privacy requirements.
