The role is for a Network Engineer specializing in QA Testing in CA for a 6+ month project requiring 5 days onsite.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and execute detailed test plans for networking hardware and features.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot multi-vendor lab environments simulating live networks.
  • Validate performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise and service provider networks.
  • Develop Python automation scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Perform system-level testing on technologies like Ethernet, IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS.
  • Conduct traffic generation and analysis using tools such as Ixia/Keysight.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify, debug, and resolve issues; document test cases and results.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; 7+ years in network testing.
  • Deep knowledge of L2/L3 protocols, enterprise/ISP network design, and multi-vendor troubleshooting (Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, etc).
  • Proficiency in Python automation, traffic analyzers, and setting up complex network environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to work in fast-paced settings.
  • Additional Skills:

  • Experience with cloud networking (GCP, AWS), Linux scripting, CI/CD, optical transport tech, and certifications like CCIE or JNCIE are a plus.
