Network Engineer

Essential Functions:

• Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, VPN, QoS)
• Diagnose and resolve networking issues promptly
• Collaborate with employees and management to address network-related problems
• Implement disaster recovery procedures
• Installation of ethernet and fiber cabling
• Perform maintenance and system upgrades including firmware upgrades, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor network resource utilization, trending and capacity planning.
• Manage vendors for pricing, installation, maintenance and problem resolution.

Qualifications: 

• 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience.
• CCNP or higher certification
• Deep understanding of network protocols
• Strong CLI skills
• Solid understanding of OSI and TCP/IP model
• Extensive experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytical tools
• Willing to travel 30% monthly
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Onsite Job at Gardendale Texas 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday
• Some overtime required including weekends
• No remote worker applications

• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - safety goggles, goggles, etc. 
• Vision - Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception
• Sense of Sound - 55 decibels, adult conversations
• Sense of Smell - Able to detect odors.
