Amentum is seeking a Network Engineer 2 for a position on Kauai, HI. This role provides support for security administration and management to all classified and unclassified PMRF mission-specific networks. Configures and maintains routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices in accordance with DoD/DONPMRF policy. Provides network-centric Cyber Security subject matter expertise. Provides system-wide troubleshooting and problem resolution both in stand-down as well as live mission environments. This includes STIG compliance as well as PMRF policy.
Responsibilities:
• Operates, maintains, and configures all network engineering assigned hardware and software associated with classified and unclassified network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other technological infrastructures. • Provides leadership and mentorship to other engineers and IT support staff. • Accomplishes Cyber Security-related tasks and requirements utilizing the following tools: DISA STIGS, SCAP, SRR, scripts, and/or ACAS. • Advanced knowledge in enterprise-level network tools, including Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst, Center, LogRhythm, Netreo, and NetBrain. • Maintains 100 network device compliance with DoD-directed IAVM programs and assists in the development of POA&M for non-compliant devices. • Ensures all networks strictly align with DoD Comply to Connect C2C policies. • Collaborates with network and security teams to design and enforce Zero Trust security. • Configures and maintains network management platforms and monitors data on the network to provide troubleshooting and daily review of audits and logs. • Prepares and submits status reports, technical reports, procedures, operational, and maintenance to management and customers. • Tracks and ensures status reporting on day-to-day and project-level activities. • Participates in the organizations Configuration Management Plan for all hardware and software relevant to customer networks, including preparation for System Change Requests (SCR) as required for applicable supported devices. • Interfaces and coordinates with Management team members and the customer to assure mutual awareness of network developments, security posture, compliance, and overall system status. • Documents work performed and maintains network engineering documentation, including MS Visio-related to inventory, topology, design, test plans, projects, and implementation planning. • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification • Years of directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree • Advance certifications: DoD 8570.1-40, IAM I, II, or III may be substituted for a degree • Knowledge of IT networks and advanced IT networking concepts, including MPLS • Must be proficient in operating personal computers, computer software, and standard office equipment • Must have basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting • Critical thinking - Proven problem solver • Good written and oral communication skills are required, including the ability to organize
Education:
• Bachelors degree and 5 years of network engineering experience • HS Diploma and 7 years of network engineering experience (Preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Palo Alto certifications • Experience with DoD systems and infrastructure, including Tacit • Current DoD Top Secret Clearance • Security Clearance • Applicants selected must be a US Citizen to apply for a Top Secret Security Clearance • Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment
