Duration of the Contract: 9/30/2026 with the possibility of extension

Onsite or Remote?  The position is on-site. Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Position is 100% within the state of WI 

 

Project details (project overview, who the contractor will work with, soft skills needed, etc.): A Network Engineer III - senior-level technical professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure. This role requires advanced expertise in networking technologies and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff. A Network Engineer III is a senior-level technical professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure.

Network Design & Implementation

Design and architect enterprise-level network solutions including LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center networks
Implement and configure advanced routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS)
Deploy and manage network security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems
Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime

 

Operations & Maintenance

 

Monitor network performance and optimize for reliability, speed, and security
Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis
Maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with service providers

 

Security & Compliance

 

Implement network security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
Conduct network security assessments and vulnerability testing
Respond to security incidents and implement remediation measures
Stay current with emerging security threats and mitigation strategies

 

Leadership & Collaboration

 

Lead network infrastructure projects from conception to completion
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network engineers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, security, and application teams
