Network Automation Engineer – AWS China

IDR is seeking a Network Automation Engineer – China to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role focuses on designing and automating cloud-based network infrastructure within AWS China’s isolated regions, supporting compliance and high availability for a global enterprise in the cloud and hybrid environments.

Position Overview for the Network Automation Engineer:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud networking solutions within AWS China environments.
• Develop and deploy network automation frameworks using tools such as Python, Terraform, Ansible, and native AWS automation services.
• Build and support secure VPC architectures, routing, peering, Direct Connect China, firewalls, and cross-border networking designs.
• Ensure all network implementations meet Chinese regulatory and compliance requirements, including data residency and ICP constraints.
• Troubleshoot network performance, latency, and connectivity issues across hybrid cloud and on-premises systems.

Requirements for the Network Automation Engineer:

• Expertise in AWS cloud networking, especially AWS China regional architecture.
• Strong background in network automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of China’s data sovereignty laws, ICP requirements, and cross border connectivity patterns.
• Familiarity with BGP, VPN, SD WAN, and hybrid cloud routing.
• Experience supporting large-scale, distributed production environments.
