Network and Computer Systems Administrator

APG WI LLC has multiple openings for the position of Network and Computer Systems Administrator which requires a U.S. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  

 Lead the resolution of highly complex network and system issues, coordinating with multiple stakeholders (internal teams, vendors, third-party support) to ensure swift resolution. Design and implement scalable network architectures and technology solutions, including phone systems (VoIP, etc.) and surveillance camera systems, to optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency for multi-location retail operations. Diagnose and resolve network, hardware, and software issues for both on-site and remote locations, minimizing downtime. Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices (routers, switches), computer systems, and security systems.  Establish high-level relationships with key vendors for network equipment, phone systems, and camera technologies, negotiating contracts and managing partnerships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services. Manage and lead large-scale technology projects, including new system rollouts, upgrades, and transitions for network, phone, and camera systems, while balancing time, cost, and quality. Implement remote monitoring and management tools to maintain consistent support for network and IT systems at the 16 retail stores. Evaluate, recommend, and deploy upgrades for network hardware, POS systems, and security technologies. Lead efforts to assess and mitigate network security risks, implementing industry-leading security practices and proactively addressing vulnerabilities in compliance with PCI DSS and other regulatory standards. Manage and mentor junior IT staff, providing guidance and fostering professional development while ensuring team accountability and performance. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure robust backup strategies are in place for all critical IT systems across the network. Develop and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and aligning spending with business goals and operational needs.
