This role is focused on the administration, maintenance, and operational support of Creighton University's Cisco-based network environment. The Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the ongoing reliability, security, performance, and availability of campus-wide network services that support academic instruction, research activities, healthcare-related programs, and administrative operations.
Serving as the primary operational authority for network services, the Network Administrator ensures systems are properly configured, continuously monitored, accurately documented, and consistently maintained in accordance with institutional standards, regulatory requirements, and service expectations. The position works closely with infrastructure, information security, and client-facing IT teams and plays a critical role in sustaining the stable, secure operation of mission-critical network services across the University.
This role provides supervision which includes hiring, evaluating performance, assigning work, providing guidance and overall ensuring team productivity and policy adherence.
