General Information & Responsibilities

Black Hawk College seeks a full-time Networking and Information Technology Instructor for Fall 2026 semester to teach classes in networking. This is an in-person position at our Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL.

Description of Duties

The Networking/Information technology instructor provides high-quality instruction across technology curriculum, including A+, Network+, Security+, and related courses. The faculty member prepares and delivers engaging instruction, evaluates student learning, maintains instructional materials and equipment, and contributes to curriculum development. This position supports the mission and values of Black Hawk College by fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment and participating in departmental and institutional service.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Prepare appropriate syllabi
  • Develop lectures and demonstrations
  • Prepares students for certifications
  • Enhance student educational experiences
  • Develop and execute appropriate methods of evaluating student performance
  • Develops, secures, and maintains the instructional materials essential to classroom presentation
  • Maintains and updates program curriculum to match current industry standards
  • Participate in department activities

Education & Experience

  • Masters degree in computer science or information technology
  • A+, Network+, and Security + certification preferred
